International Certified Vocational Evaluator (ICVE)

ICVE Grandfathering Process Information – November 2019 

 

The College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (the College) has implemented a 12-month Grandfathering Process for the International Certified Vocational Evaluator (ICVE).  To be accepted for the Grandfathering (GF) Phase of the new ICVE credential, applicants must be a current holder in good standing of either one of the following vocational evaluator (VE) credentials:

1. Canadian Certified Vocational Evaluator (CCVE) in good standing:

Direct admittance with grandfathering application compliance

2. Current Certified Vocational Evaluator (CVE):

Current standing confirmed through the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC)

3. Lapsed CVE within 5 years of November 2019:

Rehabilitation Professionals who have held the CVE credential in the past 5 years and have continued to work within the field of vocational evaluation will be accepted as grandfathering applicants but must submit proof of 20 continuing education hours in the field of vocational evaluation for each year since date of the lapsed CVE.

The fee for the ICVE Grandfathering application process and the first year of registration is $325.00 CAD.  This includes a $50.00 process fee and the annual registration fee of $275.00 for the first year of registration.  Daily variable exchange rates for USD will apply and may include service changes from the financial institution used for the submission of the fees.  All fees are subject to applicable taxes, according to the region of residence of the applicant.

 

All applicants must complete the application form,  submit the required credential documentation, current E&O / Liability Insurance Certificate and a current Vulnerable Sector Police Check (VSPC) for Canadian applicants or a police status check for a American applicants.
