As noted in the CVRP Call for Nominations posted August 10th, the 2016 Annual General Meeting of the College will be held at 12 noon EST on Wednesday September 21, 2016.
The Nominations for the CVRP Board of Directors to be included in the Slate of Nomination for Directors and Officers [Bylaw No. 1 s. 10, 11, 13, 15] is for the term of office from September ember 21, 2016 to the date of the 2018 AGM [Bylaw No. 1 s. 40].
Since the inception of the College, the Registrants and the Public we protect, have been blessed with a strong, experienced group of dedicated Directors, who believe in the mandate of the College and the need for a stable Vocational Rehabilitation Profession. The College has succeeded in its mandate to protect the public through the commitment of the many volunteers, acting in the role of setting Policy as Board Directors and as the vital members of the Standing Committees, who make those polices operational for both the Public and the Registrants. The CVRP 2016 AGM Proxy, along with the complete ‘Slate for Nominations’ will be posted within 7-10 days prior to the 2016 AGM in the ‘Members Only’ section of the CVRP website under the tab marked “CVRP AGM”. If you cannot attend, please exercise your right to give appropriate guidance to the Board of Directors by signing and sending your 2016 Proxy to the CVRP office by end of business day (5:00 pm EST) September 19th, 2016. The directions for correct assignment of the Proxy will clearly explained on the Proxy form. The proxy will be posted on the AGM page by 2 September.
Nominations must be received by September 15th 2016. The 2016 nomination form is a fillable Adobe format, with electronic signature capability to assist in making the nomination process easy and accessible to all interested volunteers. Nominees are asked to submit a statement of relevant professional and personal experience by attaching a typewritten statement, not to exceed 150 words, completed and signed by the Nominee, providing business and professional experience, length of registration, CVRP positions held, and any additional professional and personal data that the nominee deems relevant. Please ensure that a the nominee includes a statement of the skills and knowledge that can be shared in the common mandate of the College and what the nominee hopes to achieve in their term of office.
