Policy for CVRP Social Media

I. Definition

a. The College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (the College) offers communication through the media tools of the CVRP LinkedIn group and Twitter as a service to our registrants and in pursuit of it mandate to safeguard the public by making registrants aware of these social media networking opportunities.
b. The College will manage all posts for relevancy to the VR profession and ensure that all posts are in line with the College’s Standards of Practice and mandate to protect the public.
c. The College does not assume responsibility for the posting of malicious or vexatious comments but will rigorously screen and remove any inappropriate postings. Postings from registrants of the College must always align with the CVRP Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
II. Procedure
a. The College will manage its social media platforms during regular business hours (Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Time).
b. Content posted by the College may be removed from the platform (LinkedIn or Twitter) without notice if the College deems it is no longer valid or up to date.
c. The College will monitor its social media platforms and respond to inquiries when appropriate.
d. The College asks that users be respectful and reserves the right to delete any inappropriate comments and/or block any users who post messages which are
deemed as offensive, rude, aggressive, or abusive to an individual or an organization.
