Social Media Policy

The College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (the College) offers communication through social media accounts CVRP LinkedIn and CVRP Twitter as a service to Registrants and in pursuit of it mandate to protect the public by making Registrants aware of these networking opportunities. The College will manage all posts for relevancy to the VR/VE profession and ensure that all posts are in line with the College’s Standards of Practice.

 

CVRP Social Media Policy

 

I. Definition

  1. The College of Vocational Rehabilitation Professionals (the College) offers communication through the CVRP LinkedIn and Twitter social media accounts as a service to Registrants and in pursuit of it mandate to protect the public by making Registrants aware of these social media networking opportunities.

  2. The College will manage all posts for relevancy to the VR and VE profession and ensure that all posts are in line with the College’s Standards of Practice and mandate to protect the public.

  3. The College does not assume responsibility for the posting of malicious or vexatious comments but will screen and remove inappropriate postings. Postings from Registrants of the College must always align with the CVRP Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.

 

II. Procedure

  1. The College will manage its social media platforms during regular business hours.

  2. Content posted by the College may be removed from the platform without notice if the College deems it is no longer valid or up to date.

  3. The College will monitor its social media platforms and respond to inquiries when appropriate.

  4. The College asks that users be respectful and reserve the right to delete any inappropriate comments and/or block any users who post messages which are deemed as offensive, rude, aggressive, or abusive to an individual or organization.

  5. Registrants are encouraged to review the CVRP Code of Conduct.
